Title: Concentration Stoichiometry
Post by: Tiya1007 on February 04, 2024, 06:09:32 PM
For the reaction: 1CuSO4+2KOH = 1Cu(OH)2+1K2SO4    CHange in H= 340KJ

If we add 8340KJ to CuSO4 and KOH, some Cu(OH)2 is made. If the Cu(OH)2 is put in 750ml water, find the concentration of Cu(OH)2.

In this reaction
1 mole of Cu(OH)2 is formed with ΔH 340Kj.
Molarity is moles per liter so convert volume into L = 0.750L
You can use dimensional here
8340kJ X 1mole  Cu(OH)2/ 340kJ.  x 1/ 0.750L = 32.7 moles/L
