Title: Thermochemistry --equation for enthalpy of reaction
Post by: prasamb@yahoo.com on December 11, 2022, 02:05:28 PM
what is the equation for enthalpy of reaction using enthalpy of formation values?

--> Do the below answer correct?
sum of the standard enthalpies of formation of the products (each multiplied by its stoichiometric coefficient) minus the sum of the standard enthalpies of formation of the reactants (each multiplied by its stoichiometric coefficient)

yes it is correct
aA + bB -----> cC + dD
∆H reaction   =
∑(a∆H A0f + b∆H B 0f )  -    ∑(c∆H C0f + d∆H D 0f )
