dz2 orbitals are not in plane of equitorial px and py and it is in the plane of pz so in sp3d hybridization --px and py with s make trigonal base of equitorial bonds
Then dz2 and pz mixes  to form two axial dp orbitals as they in the same plane.
d x2-y2, dxy and dyz are not in the plane of pz.
