Post by: joyjang on September 19, 2012, 03:22:01 AM
A 350 g piece of metal is at an initial temperature of 22oC. It absorbs 1000. calories of thermal energy, and its final temperature is 45oC. What is the specific heat of the metal? Show your work

use equation
q = mc delta T
m = 350 g
q = 1000 cal
delta t = 45-22
c is the specific heat capacity
c = q/(m delta t )
