Title: Naming Compound
Post by: dhriti on March 28, 2024, 02:41:34 PM
I just wanted to double check the question provided in the attachment. I got the first option but I am not sure as I am not sure if it ends in -oic acid suffix instead and if I need to number the isopropyl group

These type of compounds end with carboxylic acid in the end as suffix. So there is isopropy on 3 carbon of the ring and cyclobutane as the ring in the centre.Carbon to which -COOH is bonded is number 1 carbon.
3-Isopropylcyclobutanecarboxylic acids.
