Same with this question, I was confused about what Ea and 🔺E mean. Also, what the questions is asking for,
sorry, i forgot to post the question, here it is:
What part of the energy profile of a reaction is affected by a Catalyst?
options~
A. Ea
B. 🔺E
c. No part is affected.
Catalyst decreases the activation energy and hence increases the rate of reaction.
Here Ea is the short form of activation energy.
Activation energy is the minimum energy needed to start the reaction or energy needed to break all bonds of the reactants. Higher the Ea, more is the energy needed to break the bonds and hence slow is the rate of the reaction.
