Title: Melting & Boiling Points
Post by: Avni on February 21, 2024, 12:54:35 PM
The green parts that I highlighted are the breaking of bonds and attractions, so what is happening in the red parts? Is it gathering energy as the temp rises so it can break the bonds and get to delta H of vaporization and delta H of melting?

I am sorry, I meant delta H of fusion and sorry if my highlighting is messy.

The green part is breaking of attractions and not the bonds because it is a physical change and line marked as red is rise in temperature without doing any change in physical state.Like rise in temperature of the liquid or solid or gas state.
